The Texas
Exes Business Network activities are designed to unite, inform,
and network all alumni of The University of Texas
for the
purpose of mutual success. This is one type of the many alumni -
involvement programs sponsored by Texas Exes chapters in metro
areas around the country. Whether it be an event on a specific topic
featuring a prominent keynote speaker, or simply an informal gathering
among business minded individuals, a Business Network event is designed for promoting professional networking for all
participants.
We are excited about currently being in the process of
setting up the Business Network
in the Corpus Christi. If you would like to attend future Business
Network events, possibly speak at a future events, or would just
like more information regarding the Texas
Exes Business Network, please contact: info@texasexescc.org

Exes Helping Exes: How the Network Connects Alumni
The best way to optimize the Texas Exes Business Network
is to attend every event with a supply of your business cards and a goal
of helping at least five other people in some way. You may be employed by,
or know of, an Exes-owned or -managed organization or company which is
well-respected in its industry (Landscape Design? Chiropractic Care?
Public Relations/Marketing?). While attending a Business
Network event, you might meet someone with a need for a specific product
or service offered by that particular company. Connecting the Texas
Exes-owned or -operated company and consumers is one of the best reasons for
the Business Network’s existence because it mutually benefits both
parties ... it’s all about Exes
helping
Exes.
If you are job searching, bring resumes or
“personal” business cards to Business Network meetings
— you might
meet hiring managers or others with job leads. Even if you have just
landed a job or are already employed, Business Network events can also be
beneficial for B2B networking. Whatever the case, utilize these events by
preparing a 30-second introduction of yourself to let other Exes know
something about who you are and what information and contacts you may be
able to offer them.
Armed with resources and a willingness to share them,
every Business Network attendee can help others who are there – so that
all who attend will gain something and will attend future events to make
more connections.
